Video Downloader Mp3 Music Download provides an easy way to download media from YouTube. This isn't just a matter of getting an exact copy of what you'd find on the web though. The app is able to provide a wealth of audio and video options that you won't see on the standard YouTube website. However, the app's interface is quite similar to what you'd expect from the mobile version of the website. The main difference comes from a few additions provided by the app. As we'll soon see, the familiar interface is the source of some of the app's best features and most pressing issues.

The biggest benefit provided by the app's interface is sheer familiarity. It's quite easy to navigate within the app and find your favorite YouTube videos. And the app even highlights trending videos for you to check out when you start it up. When you click a video link you'll see the standard mobile youtube video player. But you'll also see something new. The app provides a download button for every video. This is where the app's real magic is found.

When you hit that download button it'll bring up a list of options. From here you can customize the download to your liking. As you'd expect, the options include a choice of what to name the downloaded file. This is important as many media players only look at the file name rather than metadata. So users should make sure the file is named in a way that'll make it easy to recognize in playlists.

The download options will also give us the option of choosing whether we want to download the standard video or just the audio track. The audio track download is primarily used to create a standard music track from a music video on YouTube. Finally, we can also choose the overall quality of the download. The higher the bitrate the better the audio and video quality. However, higher-quality also means that it'll take up more space on our phone or tablet. From there it's simply a matter of starting the download. The app even has a separate tab where you can see your downloads.

If everything goes as it should then you'll now have the audio or video saved on your phone. The primary benefit to doing so is that you can now enjoy those files with any standard media player. You won't have to worry about data use or having your cellular connection broken by dead zones.

However, the app does have some downsides. We alluded to the biggest problem earlier when looking at how the app works with YouTube's mobile interface. The app's web scraping can be hit or miss. Sometimes it's able to correctly parse the underlying code on YouTube to find video links. But it also has a fairly high failure rate. Sometimes the app will instantly fail when trying to download a video. Other times it'll fail to even render a video's page and player. It's a useful tool but one too erratic for you to fully rely on. It's great when it does work. But you can't always count on that happening.
